Contractor Registration
In order to fulfill our mission to protect the public interest, we require all contractors engaging in construction or a directly related trade regulated by the State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation or licenses by a local or county licensing board to register with the village prior to commencing work or obtaining permits.

Business Tax Receipts (FKA Occupational Licenses) & Home Occupation
The Village of Palm Springs Code of Ordinances requires any person or entity operating a business who has an office located within village limits to have a business tax receipt issued by the village.

For all businesses, along with the application please be sure to submit a copy of the Articles of Incorporation and/or Fictitious Name Registration if applicable.If state licenses and/or state certifications are needed for the scope of business, please include a copy.

Business Permit
The Village of Palm Springs Code of Ordinances requires any person or entity who is doing business within the village limits and who has an office located outside of the village limits to have a business tax receipt issued by the village.

Rental Permit
The Village of Palm Springs Code of Ordinances requires property owners who lease or rent residential dwelling units to have a valid Rental Permit.

Village of Palm Springs Ordinance #2006-04 prohibits sexual offenders and predators from residing within 1,500 feet from any public or private school, public library, daycare center, park, playground, community center, day camp, or other place where children congregate.Property owners can view the FDLE website for a current list of sexual offenders or predators.
