The Parks and Recreation Department hosts multiple Special Events throughout the year. Each event is designed for the enjoyment of Palm Springs residents. Please note, due to the coronavirus pandemic, some events may be canceled.

Health and Wellness Festival
This family friendly event showcases a variety of ways for everyone to get out and get moving. There will be Zumba, Bootcamp workouts, Yoga instruction, Pound fitness for kids, as well as a Martial Arts class and a Pickleball clinic. The action packed festival also features an opportunity to go on a Fitness Walk with the Mayor, Bev Smith and to register for the ‘Step It Up Palm Springs’ steps challenge. Organizations providing health and wellness benefits and information will be available too.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
The Village of Palm Springs will kick-off the holiday season with a Christmas tree lighting and Menorah presentation. Residents and their families are invited to celebrate with us and listen to live musical performances from local schools.
Santa’s Sleigh Ride
Santa loves Palm Springs so much that he rides throughout the Village greeting everyone on one special day in December.
Dinner with Santa
Children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old will enjoy arts and crafts, games, and receive a special visit from the big guy himself! Kids will enjoy a pizza and chicken nugget dinner before the activities and have a chance to tell Santa what they would like for Christmas, he'll even have a special surprise for every boy and girl. Must purchase tickets in advance, space is limited. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Calls from Santa & Mrs. Claus
Sign your child up for a call from Santa or Mrs. Claus. Forms may be picked up and filled out at the Parks and Recreation Department.
Holiday Decorating Contest Judging
Palm Springs residents are invited to participate in the Annual Holiday Decorating Contest! Show your best Holiday decorations for a chance to win a $100 from the Village of Palm Springs. Forms to participate may be picked up and filled out at the Parks and Recreation Department beginning in mid November.
