The library is introducing The Palace Project app (“Palace”) that makes accessing the library’s ebook and audiobook collections easier than ever. Palace brings together all of the library’s ebook and audiobook collections into one simple app, where users can search and browse, check out items, and read, in just a few taps. The Palace app is available now to all Palm springs Library patrons from the Apple Store and  for Android from the Google Playstore.

CloudLibrary content is currently available in the App. COMING SOON: The library's E content from OVERDRIVE!





The Overdrive App will be discontinued soon. Please download the LIBBY app or PALACE app from your app store to continue using material from Overdrive.



The Village of Palm Springs Awards

 Joseph L. Fallon Scholarship 2022

The Village of Palm Springs Award the Joseph L. Fallon Scholarships to five recent high school graduates on Thursday, May 12th during the regular Council Meeting. All Students received a "Congratulations" yard sign to be place in front of their homes recognizing  their dedication and hard work. Each student was awarded with a $1,000.00 dollar scholarship and had their picture taken with the Mayor Bev Smith, Council Members, and Mr. & Mrs. Fallon. This year's recipients are Stephanie Bruzon from G-Star High School of the Arts, Connor A. Rieth from Suncoast High School, Clara Alfonso from G-Star High School of the Arts, Gabrielle T. Kelly from John I. Leonard High School, and Leonardo Estrada from G-Star High School of the Arts. Again, we congratulate these students and their achievements.


            Author Visit: Mary Simses

               Event held May 12th, 2022 at 1:00pm

 Last Thursday the Village of Palm Springs Public Library hosted an Author Visit and Mayor Bev Smith welcomed Mary Simses who was very inspirational and talked about the books she wrote: The irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafê, the rules of love and grammar, and the Wedding Thief. And of course about the adapted Hallmark Movie renamed The irresistible blueberry farm. Everyone who participated enjoyed the event and hope to welcome her again!

                               Bookmark Contest Winners20220426_182038Village of Palm Springs hosted its Annual Bookmark Contest on April 26th2022 with 26 contest recipient's from our local schools. This years' theme was "Ocean's of Possibilities" students created such beautiful artwork. Mayor Bev Smith was part of this ceremony presenting the students with their awards. This tradition has been going on at Palm Springs Public Library for over 30 years our local schools and families really love this contest.

Read for the Record 2021 for
Mid-Size Municipality!

The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County awarded the Village the “Read for the Record Palm Beach County 2021 - Mid-Size Municipality” award! This year staff worked extra hard to increase awareness about the importance of early literacy and it payed off.  Staff read in person  and the engaging video was a hit! Palm Springs Staff was very excited and proud that our video brought so much joy and thrill to so many people. Kristen Calder, CEO of the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County presented the award to Mayor Bev Smith, Village Manager Kim Glas-Castro, Councilmember Pattie Waller, Vice Mayor Gary Ready and Library Director Jossie Maliska.

Hoopla Digital is a digital streaming service for library users to access eBooks, eAudiobooks, music, movies, and TV shows using portable devices like smartphones and tablets. Click the GET STARTED TODAY button to register for your free account. Once registered with Hoopla, each card holder will be able to check out six (6) items per month.

What do I need?

  • Tablet, smartphone, computer, or TV with streaming capabilities
  • Email address and password
  • Library card number (only needed one time in the registration process)
  • Hoopla Digital app or updated browser software (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari, etc.)

You will need your Palm Springs Library card and pin (last four digits of your phone number) to put the item on hold. If you do not have a library card, you can apply for one online here.

During your appointment, your labeled bag will be outside: First 3 letters of last name and last 4 digits of your phone number.
