"The City That Talks" - A Municipal Story Time
Please listen and watch as Vice Mayors Kim Glas-Castro of the Town of Lake Park and Patty Waller of the Village of Palm Springs read "The City That Talks."
Published by the Florida League of Cities, this is a picture book geared toward children ages 4-8. In the book, A teacher asks, “What is the best thing about our city?” A student goes looking for the answer. Different parts of her city love to talk and tell her why they are the best. As the book progresses, she explores and finds out that cities have a voice.
The digital version of this book and other civics education tools are available as part of the Florida League of Cities "Readers2Leaders" initiative.
