Who Qualifies for a Library Card

Your library card is your key to all of our services. Library cards are available free to Palm Springs residents, and to residents served by libraries in The Library Cooperative of Palm Beach County.

Members of The Library Cooperative of Palm Beach County

  • Boynton Beach City Library
  • Delray Beach Public Library
  • Lake Park Public Library
  • Lake Worth Public Library
  • Lantana Public Library
  • North Palm Beach Library
  • Riviera Beach Public Library
  • West Palm Beach Public Library / Mandel
  • Plus all branches of the Palm Beach County Library System

All of the above have their own library cards. Palm Springs residents also qualify for a free card at these libraries. In addition, all children from birth through 12th grade living in Palm Beach County and all Palm Beach County Teachers at licensed K-12 institutions also qualify for a free card here.

How to apply

  • Present an official photo ID with your current address at the Palm Springs Library.
  • If the address on the ID is not current, you need to bring a piece of official mail (such as a utility bill) showing your name and current address.
  • Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with proper ID when applying for a card.

Need an instant library card to use e-book and e-resources? 

Please stop by the library with your identification to get your permanent library card. The E-card will expire in 90 days.
