Municipal Elections
The Village of Palm Springs holds elections on the second Tuesday in March on election years:
  • The positions of Council Member for District 2 and District 4 are held in even numbered years starting in 2018 and every 4 years after that.
  • The positions of Mayor and Council Member for District 1 and District 3 are held in odd numbered years starting in 2017 and every 4 years after that.

The terms for all positions on the Village Council are for four years. The village does not have term limits. (Village Charter Sec. 3.03)

Eligibility to Hold Office
Any person who has continuously been a resident of the Village for one year preceding the date of qualification, is eighteen (18) years of age or older, and a registered voter within one of the 19 precincts in Palm Springs shall be eligible to hold the office of mayor or village district council member.

The candidate for a district council member seat must reside within the district he / she wishes to represent. (Village Charter Sec. 3.02)

To become a candidate, you need to contact the official filing officer at the Village Clerk’s Office to begin your qualifying process and pick up your candidate’s book.

Federal, State & County Elections
Federal, state and county elections are handled directly through Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections.

Absentee Ballots & Early Voting
The Village of Palm Springs does not have early voting locations. Absentee ballots are also applied for and returned to the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections.
